2022 Karate 1 Series A Jakarta (Indonesia)
Young Bosnian karate players Hamza Turulja and Rijad Džuho won gold medals at the prestigious Karate 1 Series A tournament in Jakarta.
On the way to the finals in the 84+ kg category, Rijad Džuho defeated the representatives of Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Ukraine, India, and in the most important duel, he faced the Japanese Fumiya Yoshimura. Although the Japanese entered the fight as a favorite, Riyad managed to win.
In the -75 kg category, Hamza Turulja until the final was better than Sunil Reddy Gokul (India), Enes Bulut (Turkey), Shunji Suzuki (Japan), Hsu Wei-Chun (Chinese Taipei), and Oleksandr Karas (Ukraine). In the final fight, Hamza defeated Mohamed Abudabous, the representative of Libya.
