As a part of the Erasmus+ project Women4Sport, which generally promotes gender equality in leadership and decision-making in the top management of the National Olympic Committees in the Western Balkan countries by promoting structural changes in governance, improving understanding of existing cultural barriers and encouraging NOCs to work with their federations to create of sustainable changes, a round table was held today.

50 representatives participated in the Round Table on the topic "Involvement of women in management and making key decisions within sports organizations", representatives of Olympic committees, sports organizations, university professors, as well as members of the Commission for Gender Equality of the aforementioned organizations.

Sports organizations play a key role in shaping sports culture and promoting equality in sports. However, in many of these organizations, women are underrepresented in management and decision-making positions.

Today we discussed the challenges that women face in achieving high positions in sports organizations, and ways to increase their involvement that we will apply in further work.

We would like to thank all participants for their shared experiences and given opinions for better identification of frequent problems faced by sports organizations, as well as the organizer of the activity, the Verlab Institute, for the flawless organization of the event.
