Assembly and Conference of the IANU

On the 20th of May 2023, the International Academy of Sciences and Arts in Bosnia and Herzegovina (IANU BIH) organized an Assembly and Conference on the topic: "Sarajevo and the world." Top experts from multidisciplinary fields were gathered at the conference.

The President of IANU BIH, Academician Asim Kurijak, in his address, emphasized the importance and values of this exceptional scientific institution. The number of citations by members of the academy is at an enviable level.

"According to relevant data, we are the strongest intellectual society in BIH with more than half a million citations. This means that half a million people in the world have cited the works of our members, and 16 members of the Academy are members of the European Academy, which has never happened here"- said Kurjak, who himself is a member of 12 world academies.

What we are particularly proud of is the fact that on that day charters were awarded to regular members, among whom our vice president, academician Prof. Dr. Izet Rađo, was promoted to a regular member of the Academy.

This is a great recognition for the well-deserved work and contribution to scientific thought that the academician, prof. dr. Rađo has given so far, but also the stamp of the value of his true love and devotion to science that he lives every day.
