Continuation of support for the idea of YOG in Sarajevo

During the General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees held in Istanbul from 06 to 08 October 2023, the idea of Sarajevo running for the YOG (Youth Olympic Games) organizer received the unanimous support of all European Olympic Committees. The idea was affirmed by the President of the European Olympic Committees, Mr. Spiros Capralos, who visited the Olympic martial arts around Sarajevo a few days ago with his colleagues.


The leaders of the OKBiH took the opportunity to have an interview with the President of the International Olympic Committee, Dr. Tomas Bach, who also supported the idea of Sarajevo continuing the continuity of the Olympic heritage and Olympic events, from ZOI'84, through the excellently organized EYOF to the next YOG 2028. or 2032.


He once again congratulated the OCBiH on its 30th anniversary and underlined that the OCBiH is an important member of the world Olympic family, which, through dedicated work and projects, makes it a recognizable and important member of the IOC and EOC.


He instructed the OKBiH to hold talks and consultations with the President of the YOG Commission of the IOC and the President of the Olympic Committee of Austria, Dr. Karl Stoss.
