Jure Franko got "his" track on the Olympic mountain Bjelašnica

On the Olympic mountain Bjelašnica, on the occasion of commemorating 40 years since the Winter Olympic Games were held in Sarajevo, on February 9, the "Jure Franko" ski slope was solemnly named after the only medal winner of the WOG Sarajevo '84 for Yugoslavia.

Jure Franko won a silver medal in the giant slalom at the Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo '84, which was also the only one won for the former Yugoslavia.

Forty years later, as a sign of gratitude and a reminder to young generations, the track where Jure won the medal now bears his name, as a lasting memory of the most beautiful pages of sports history.
