The representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lamija Alihodžić, won the first medal in the Olympic Taekwondo sport at the World Taekwondo Cadet Championship, held in Sarajevo, in the over 176 cm category, thus making history in the cadet category at this level of the competition.

Alihodžić was free in the first round by the will of the draw, and in the quarterfinals she won the match against the representative of Italy with a score of 2:0. In the semi-final match, she was stopped by the representative of Iran, who later became the world champion.
