On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, in the organization of the Sports Association of the city of Mostar, the Athlete Selection for 2023 was held.

The ceremony of announcing the best sportsmen/sportswomen of the City of Mostar was opened by the president of the sports association prof. Dr. Ekrem Čolakhodžić.

The decision of the Expert Jury, presided over by Enver Marić, the legend of BiH football, declared the best sportswoman of the City of Mostar for 2023, the best BiH swimmer Lana Pudar, while the best sportsman was Nemanja Bilbija, the footballer from Zrinjski.

Lana and Nemanja expressed satisfaction with the results achieved and great gratitude for the prizes they won, with the hope that their work will bring new successes that will make the citizens of Mostar and all of Bosnia and Herzegovina happy and proud.

"Behind me is a successful and hard year with many competitions, preparations and many kilometers swum. A lot awaits me, the highlight of the year is the Olympics in Paris. I won't promise anything, except that I will do my best to get ready in the best possible light and to present the country in the best possible way," said our best swimmer Lana.

Among the dignitaries present were representatives of OC BiH headed by president academician, prof. Dr. Izet Rađo and General Secretary Assoc. Dr Said Fazlagić.

The ceremony was attended and addressed by the Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlaisavljević, the Mayor of the City of Mostar, Mario Kordić, as well as the President of the City Council of the City of Mostar, Salem Marić.
