The Olympic Committee of BiH has traditionally organized the event Athlete of the Year, and this year the selection will be made in 9 categories, as follows:

1. The best young athlete in the junior category; (Female)
2. The best young athletes in the junior category; ( Male)
3. The most successful Sports Club
4. The most successful National Team of Bosnia and Herzegovina
5. The most successful coach
6. Special awards of OK BiH

1. Sports worker, for his long-term contribution to the development of sports
2. Sports promoters of Bosnia and Herzegovina
3. Athlete or team from a family of non-Olympic sports
4. Special award for outstanding sports result
5. Award for support in the work of OC BiH
6. Award for media promotion of Olympic values
7. For successful long-term coaching work
8. Sports ambassador

7. The best athlete in the senior competition ( Female)
8. The best athlete in the senior competition ( Male)
9. Athlete of the Year

The right to participate in the Election of the Athlete of the year have all athletes, coaches, and teams belonging to electoral categories in Bosnia and Herzegovina "

Please submit the proposals of your candidates, in accordance with the mentioned Criteria, no later than Wednesday, November 17, 2021. All proposals for nominations by categories should be submitted by the specified date and on the memorandum of the association, with the seal of the association and the signature of the responsible person of the association, who with his signature and seal guarantees the authenticity of data, otherwise proposals will not be considered.

The conditions for application are defined in Article 5 of the Rulebook on the selection of the athlete of the year, organized by the Olympic Committee of BiH, which reads: 

Article 5

The conditions that must be met by the applicant for basic categories (except special) in order for the application of the professional association to be accepted are:

1. that he is a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
2. that he is a member of a sports club from Bosnia and Herzegovina that is registered with the competent authority and that the club is a member of a professional association. (One sport can have only one trade union) or
3. that he is a member of a sports club from other countries, provided that the professional sports federation from Bosnia and Herzegovina has given them consent to play for the same.
4. that he is not under suspension for doping.
5. that the Application is accompanied by a Bulletin or Report from the competition certified by the President or the Secretary-General of the professional sports federation of which he is a member.
6. that the application is filled in on a single form prepared by the Commission, which will be submitted with attached notice.
7. that is Olympic sport (except for part of the Special Awards)
8. professional federations can nominate one male athlete and one female athlete in one category with the two best results or placements, for the specified year.
