Today's signing of the document on the handover of the Olympic Museum construction works, represented the official completion of all construction activities on the Olympic Museum building. In addition to closing the financial structure, which was a very demanding task to perform, it was an extremely delicate reconstruction project, given the fact that the building was built in 1903 and that the Museum is under the supervision of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of BiH.

Taking into consideration all of the above, all the small details had to be taken into account regarding the reconstruction or construction. Therefore, only top experts were hired for the mentioned construction area and supervision. The next and last phase includes the interior design as well as the activities that are necessary for the Museum to be functional and open for work. At the moment, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it is difficult to predict when the Museum will open, but the master plan that is based on the proposal of the Presidency and the Decision of the Executive Committee of OC BiH, suggests it will be September this year.

The Museum shall be opened by Mr.Thomas Bach, the President of the International Olympic Committee, accompanied by other eminent guests from sport and social community, led by top athletes and sport workers.
