"Olympic Day 2025" at Kravice Waterfalls
The Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina is organizing the “Olympic Day 2025” event once again this year, celebrating Olympism in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The spirit of Olympism will be spread at Kravice Waterfalls, near Ljubuški, on May 23rd at 10 a.m. Participants of this year's "Olympic Day" will have the opportunity to try their hand at cycling, basketball, football, handball, tennis, athletics, karate, archery, and cheerleading. We will also organize demonstration presentations of paragliding, motorsport, and kayaking on wild waters.
The partner of this year's Olympic Day is the City of Ljubuški, led by Mayor Vedran Markotić, with the support of ICOK member Ivan Brkić.
After warming up with Bosnian Olympians and two hours of practicing nine sports, Olympic Day will conclude with a group photo at the foot of Kravice Waterfalls. This photo will symbolize Olympic values such as friendship, respect, excellence, and community, as well as care for the environment and natural beauty, which fully align with the IOC agenda and the UN Charter.
The singular goal of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Olympic Committee is to promote the Olympic spirit throughout the cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Olympic Day was introduced in 1948 to commemorate the birth of the modern Olympic Games in Paris. Besides celebrating the Olympic movement, the goal is to promote participation in sports worldwide, regardless of age, gender, or physical ability.
Olympic Day takes place in 206 countries around the world under the jurisdiction of the International Olympic Committee and with the support of Olympic Solidarity.
