Practical sessions were held within the STEPin project

As part of the implementation of the STEPin project on May 26, 2022. The first practice session for the participants of STEPin e-education from BiH was held on June 16, 2022., and the second practical was in the Public Institution Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

The leader of the first practical session was Amel Kapo, coach and founder of the swimming club "Spid" from Sarajevo, and prof.dr. Damira Vranešić Hadžimehmedović, associate professor at the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education, University of Sarajevo and Edin Sokolović were the leaders of the second practical session.

Paraswimming

The participants of the practical para-swimming session got acquainted with the very idea and creation of the first sports club for people with disabilities, as well as with the difficulties that Amel Capo encountered in the very beginning. At the end of his presentation, he presented the achievements and results of the club as well as plans and expectations for the future.

After that, the participants attended the training itself and could see firsthand what training for children with disabilities looks like and the way of work of Amel Kape and other coaches in PK "Speed".

Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired

At the second practice session, the participants of STEPin education had the opportunity to get acquainted with and participate in sports for the blind:

Show Down
Tandem bike
Darts for the blind
Hanging bowling for the blind

The aim of this second practical session was to demonstrate sports for the blind and to involve the participants in the activities of the practical session.
