17 medals for BIH taekwondo at "2023 Multi European Games”

The taekwondo representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina won 17 medals at the taekwondo "2023 Multi European Games", which took place in Sarajevo from May 11 to 14, 2023.

On the last day of the "Taekwondo Multi European Games" competition, Džejla Makaš won the gold medal for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the senior women's competition.

Makaš won the medal in a superior manner, with victories over the representatives of Turkey, Germany, and again Turkey in the final match. Apart from Makaš, the bronze medal was won by Katarina Kraišnik. She was free in the first round, after which she defeated the representative of Canada. However, despite the lead in the first round, in the end, she did not qualify for the finals and had to settle for a bronze medal.

Benjamin Husić, Sara Pidro, and Marija Jokić won gold medals in the junior competition, while Marija Orlović, Nino Šeremet, Adna Berbić, Ejla Makaš, and Ahmed Dizdar won bronze medals. In the cadet competition, Sara Džafić won gold, while Hana Kadrić, Esma Bahtanović, Lamija Alihodžić and Vedad Šehić won bronze. In the competition of seniors, in addition to the aforementioned medals Makaš and Kraišnik, Nadina Mehmedović, and Petra Ždero won their medals on the third day of the tournament.

In the past four days, visitors could enjoy top-class taekwondo fights. Bosnia and Herzegovina won a total of 17 medals in the four days of the tournament, of which seven were gold and ten were bronze.

The best result in the senior competition was achieved by the national team of Germany, the second place was the Taekwondo club Metalac from Zagreb, and the third place was taken by the team Marjana from Split. In the senior women's competition, the TSV Dachau team from Germany was the best, second place was won by Taekwondo Club Novi Grad Sarajevo, while the third place was taken by Taekwondo Club Asia from Serbia.

The best team at the tournament was the TSV Dachau team from Germany, the second place went to the Metalac team from Zagreb, and the third place was the German national team.

The leaders of the European Taekwondo Union expressed their satisfaction with the organization of the BiH Taekwondo Association. We remind you that this is the first of five major competitions that will be held in our country this year, and the next major competition that will be held in August is the World Championship for Cadets.
