3rd European Games Krakow Malopolska 2023 are officially open

Tonight's ceremony at the Henryk Reyman Stadium in Krakow marked the official opening of the third consecutive European Games "Krakow Malopolska 2023".

The delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was led by the flag bearers, the taekwondo athlete with the best result of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Olympic Games, Nedžad Husić, and the young taekwondo athlete Ada Avdagić.

In front of the full stands of the Henryk Reyman Stadium, the spectators had the opportunity to see dance, music, and other elements of the cultural and artistic program that showed the rich cultural heritage of Poland.

The third edition of the European Games brought together over 7000 athletes from 48 European countries who will compete in 29 disciplines over the next 12 competition days. The Games are held from June 21 to July 2 in Kraków and the Lesser Poland region and will be an important stop for athletes on the way to the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024. Of the 19 Olympic sports that will be on the program of the European Games, 11 sports are direct qualifiers for Olympic Games "Paris 2024". As part of the Games, 12 sports are also European championships.

A total of 55 athletes from 8 sports will defend the colors of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Games: athletics, karate, taekwondo, boxing, canoe sprint, canoe slalom, mountain biking, and shooting.
