Aleksandra Samardžić won bronze at the Judo Grand Prix tournament in Austria

At the Judo Grand Prix tournament held in Austria, BiH representative Aleksandra Samardžić won a bronze medal.

Thanks to the achieved result, with which she won an additional 350 points on the ranking list, Aleksandra strengthened her position leading to the Olympic Games in Paris.

In the first round, Aleksandra was free, while in the round of 16 she defeated the representative of Switzerland and thus qualified for the round of 16, where she was better than the representative of Portugal. In the quarter-finals, she defeated the representative of Australia, however, in the semi-finals, she was stopped by the representative of Italy. However, in the match for third place, Aleksandra managed to win over the representative of Poland and win the bronze medal.

The BiH representative did not hide her happiness since, in addition to the medal, she won new points on the ranking list leading to the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.

"This medal is very significant because it brings big points, 350 points for the world and Olympic rankings, which is certainly a big step towards the Olympic Games that are held in Paris this summer. I would certainly like to thank everyone who supports me, especially the trainers Prof. Dr. Branislav Crnogorac and Arijana Jaha," Samardžić pointed out at the end.
