Today, the delegation of the Embassy of Japan in BiH, led by H.E. Ambassador Ito Makoto visited the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

President of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Marijan Kvesić, Vice President prof. dr Milanko Mučibabić a, Secretary General of OC BiH sci. dr Said Fazlagić and Secretary General of POC BiH Osman Handžić, hosted the Ambassador of Japan to Bosnia and Herzegovina H.E. ITO Makoto, Head of the Department of Culture and PR, YOSHIDA Chisato and Head of the Department of Economic Cooperation, TANAKA Kiyotaka.

Through pleasant conversation and exchange of current events, H.E. The Ambassador informed the leaders of OC BiH that Tokyo 2020 is finalizing all the final preparations and that they are ready to start the Games. On this occasion, H.E. Ambassador Ito Makoto handed out posters made by children of Japan. Posters were made as part of the workshop BH culture organized in the city of Iwaki (Fukushima Prefecture). Through this workshop, the children got to know our country and culture, the results of BiH athletes so far at world competitions, and within the same they wrote fan messages to the participants of the upcoming Olympics.

The President of OC BiH, Mr. Marijan Kvesić, thanked for the gift, attention, interest and commitment of the children of Japan to express their friendship and welcome to the BiH team at the Olympic Games. Mr. Kvesić informed H.E. Ito Makoto that OC BiH will mark 30 days until the beginning of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics on a symbolic day - Olympic Day, which will be held this year in Teslić and on that occasion 160 children with demonstrators will have the opportunity to try out  8 sports. President Kvesić invited H.E. The Ambassador of Japan to join at the grand opening of this event, which also celebrates Olympism and marks 30 days until the Tokyo Olympics, which is H.E. Ito Makoto enthusiastically accepted.

In addition to the above, President Kvesić informed that the immunization and overall preparations of the BiH team and delegation are in the final phase and that the OC BiH is looking forward to the joint victory of Olympic values and the Olympic spirit.
