Anđela Samardžić among the top 16 at the World Judo Championship

BIH representative Anđela Samardžić performed at the World Judo Championship in Doha, where she placed among the top 16 in the category up to 57 kilograms. In the competition of 50 participants, Samardžić achieved two victories over the representatives of Australia and the refugee team and was defeated by the representative of Turkey in the quarterfinals.

"I made one small mistake that cost me the fight, but I'm very satisfied because I managed to place among the 16 best in the world and earn 320 points on the Olympic list. I am quite happy because I see that I am really within reach of the Olympic norm for Paris 2024", said Samardžić.

With this result, Anđela Samardžić won 320 points on the Olympic ranking list, and these points give hope that she could ultimately achieve the Olympic standard and place at the Paris Games in 2024.
