ANOC World Beach Games BALI 2023

The multi-sport event, which includes beach sports, is organized by the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) and will take place from 5 to 12 August 2023, on the island of Bali. This will be followed by the ANOC General Assembly (August 13-15).

“Bali has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, which will provide the ultimate backdrop for the spectacular 2023 sports competition,” said ANOC President Robin Mitchell.

"We are grateful to the Indonesian government and the Indonesian Olympic Committee for their partnership and cooperation. We look forward to working with them over the next 15 months to make this an unforgettable event. ”

More than 1,200 athletes from 97 NOC competed in the ANOC World Beach Games Qatar 2019, and similar global participation is expected next year in Bali. The games will be a celebration of beach and water sports and will include ten disciplines of the Basic Program - aquathlon, beach handball, beach soccer, beach tennis, 4 × 4 beach volleyball, Waterpolo, beach wrestling, kiteboarding, and 5km open water swimming - as well as additional disciplines proposed by the Organizing Committee, which will be confirmed in the coming weeks

Bali hosted the first Asian Beach Games in 2008.

“Part of what makes the ANOC World Beach Games so special is that it combines elite sports with entertainment and a lifestyle of beach culture. Working with our Indonesian partners and international federations, we are excited to be able to provide a sustainable and cost-effective celebration of world-class sports in line with one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. ”

ANOC World Beach Games - Indonesia 2023 is the second edition of the global competition after the first edition of Qatar 2019.
