ANOC – XXVI GENERAL ASSEMBLY SOUTH KOREA, SEOUL

Today, on October 19, the general assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees begins in Seoul (South Korea), where the election for the president and first vice-president of ANOC for the next four years will be held. The Assembly will last three days, until October 21.

The assembly will be held in a hybrid format, so around 190 attendees are expected in Seoul, while the other part will attend via online platforms. The President of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, prof. dr Milanko Mučibabić, vice-presidents prof. dr. Izet Rađo and Mr. Marijan Kvesić and Secretary General dr. sci Said Fazlagić.

The current acting president of ANOc, Robin Mitchell, is a candidate for president for the next four years, while the president of the Qatar Olympic Committee, Sheikh Joan bin Hamad, is a candidate for first vice president.

Every year, ANOC's annual awards ceremony will be held for the best athletes and national Olympic committees from the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

The ceremony will be held on October 19 in the evening at the Seoul Convention Center. The awards will be given to the best men's, women's, and mixed teams from Beijing 2022. The winners are chosen by the ANOK jury, which consists of representatives of the continental associations of the National Olympic Committees from all five continents, as well as representatives of the AIOWF (Association of International Olympic Winter Sports Federations). and ANOK's Sports Commission.
