The senior representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina in speed skating (Short Track), Tarik Omeragić, with the support of the Federation of Skating Sports BiH and OC BiH, performed at the World Cup, which was held on the 10th and 11th of this month in Dresden (Germany).

In the competition of the 59 best speed skaters in the world, who were selected candidates of their countries for the qualifications of the ZOI Milano Cortina 2026, our representative had an excellent performance. Tarik took 16th place and won 12 world points at 1000 m, and made a significant move in the ranking of the best speed skaters in the world. In addition to this outstanding result, Tarik broke a new state record for 1000 m, which now stands at 1:25.172.

In the continuation of the skating season, our representative will perform at the second World Cup, which will be held from the 17th to the 19th of this month in Gdansk (Poland).
