CHILDREN FROM TRAVNIK ARE RUNNING TOWARDS THE OLYMPICS

Yesterday, in the premises of the Catholic School Center "Petar Barbarić" in Travnik, a presentation of the European project, the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina "OLYMPIC KIDS", was held, which included the International Olympic Committee, and the following countries: Turkey, Greece, Slovenia, Italy, Moldova.

The presentation of the project was attended by the president of the Olympic Committee, academician, prof. Dr. Izet Rađo and Secretary General of OC BIH, Dr. Said Fazlagić, Mayor of the Municipality of Travnik, Dr. Kenan Dautović and project coordinator Assoc. Dr. Maja Đurić, who welcomed this idea, pointing out that Travnik has great potential for hosting such activities. Also, representatives of the media and coaching sports school "Olimpija" Travnik were present. The city of Travnik is a place of successful and promising athletes, which the children had the opportunity to see through the Travnik European champions in karate, Bekir Grabus and Ali Arnautović.

Trying out various athletic disciplines, the children have been training hard for several months, together with their coaches from the "Olimpija" sports school in Travnik, enjoying these sports activities, and the fact that a few of them will visit the cradle of the Olympics, Greece, and the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024 gives them an additional motive. .

The European project "OLYMPIC KIDS" - Erasmus+ is a project that focuses on a set of activities that would bring children closer, and ultimately introduce them to the world of Olympism. Through this project, we want to encourage children to participate in sports in order to improve their quality growth and development, using athletics as the main tool.
