Cvitanušić embarks on the final climb to Mount Everest

Tomislav Cvitanušić, alpinist, triathlete, Ironman, and president of the Supervisory Board of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is 40 days on the way to the roof of the world - the highest peak on the planet, Mount Everest.

On the 40th day since the start of the venture, Tomislav announced that the decision to start the final climb had been made:

"Day 40

Tonight at 01:00 we will start the final climb.

The decision has just been made to go on the final climb tonight despite the wind. Namely, the 15th and 16th look good weather-wise, so the following is the climb plan:

11.5. C1 5700m
12.5. C2 6500m
13.5. C2 rest
14.5. C3 (we turn on the oxygen) 7300m
15.5. C4 (rest for 3-4 hours, around 19:00 departure to the top) 7930m
16.5. in the early morning access to the top of 8848m and return to C4
17.5. Return to C2
18/19.5. Return to Base Camp

There is no internet in the high-altitude camps, I will be in communication with Muhamed Gafić through the Garmin inReach satellite locator," stated Cvitanušić's in his announcement.
