An exhibition match in para table tennis was held in the Serbian city of Indjija, in which para table tennis players from BiH and Serbia participated, as part of the project "Social integration through parasport - Parainspired!"

The match was held in a friendly atmosphere and in the spirit of cross-border cooperation. Haris Eminović, Ivica Vidiček and Darko Pavlić from BiH competed, followed by coach Jovica Šormaz, and from Serbia Mitar Palikuća, Aleksandar Jevremović and Borislava Ranković Perić.

According to the World Health Organization, about ten percent of the world's population are people with disabilities, and one of the goals of this project is to encourage sports meetings in order to increase the participation of people with disabilities in sports activities. In order to bring sports facilities closer to people with disabilities on a recreational, semi-professional and professional level, we must make them accessible and acceptable to all. In addition to organizing competitions, the project seeks to create other preconditions for the development of parasports through the procurement of sports equipment and increasing professional competencies and institutional capacity to work with people with disabilities in the field of sports. Promoting parasports, parasports athletes from BiH and Serbia, their sports successes and life stories is an important component of the project to inspire their experiences and others.

The second exhibition match within this project will be held on September, 20th this year in Sarajevo, when parasports will compete in sitting volleyball.

The project "Social integration through parasport - Parainspired!" is implemented by the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Provincial Secretariat for Sports and Youth of the Republic of Serbia, the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina and the Municipality of Indjija, and gathered under the slogan "Inspire!".

The project is funded by the European Union under the IPA II Cross-border Cooperation Program Serbia - Bosnia and Herzegovina 2014-2020 with the support of the Directorate for European Integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of European Integration of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
