The International Olympic Committee and the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee have confirmed yesterday that the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will be held from July 23 to August 8, 2021. In accordance with the new date of the Olympic Games, the Olympic Committee of BiH will continue to support our top athletes on their path to the Olympic Games. The focus of the support will continue to be on athletes who have already qualified, namely Amel Tuka, Larisa Cerić and Mesud Pezer. OC BiH is negotiating and hopes that in this extended period the responsible sport officials of BiH (Ministry of Civil Affairs) will give maximum financial support to this project so that as many BiH athletes as possible participate in the Olympic Games, in order to realize our common dreams after the difficult period caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, which we hope will soon be behind us.
