H.E. Ito Makoto, Ambassador of Japan visited NOC BIH

113 days until the Tokyo 2020 Olympics

The President of the Olympic Committee of BIH Mr. Marijan Kvesic and the Vice Presidents Prof. Dr. Milanko Mucibabic and Prof. Dr. Izet Rado received the inaugural visit of H.E. Ito Makoto, Ambassador of Japan in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Tanaka Kiyotaka, Head of the Economic Department of the Japanese Embassy in BIH.

Along to meeting the leaders of NOC BiH, H.E. Makoto used the visit of NOC BIH to discuss the upcoming Olympic Games "Tokyo 2020" and last week's lighting of the Olympic torch in Fukushima.

The President of NOC BIH Mr. Marijan Kvesic thanked for the visit and emphasized that in these very delicate conditions for work and sports in general, it is a great pleasure to host the Ambassador of the country that will organize the biggest sports festival in a few months - the Olympic Games, which will be one more victory of sport and the idea of Olympism.

"Our best athletes are working hard preparing for this planetary competition. Along with that, NOC BIH is doing everything during the pandemic to provide them with the necessary conditions for performance and sports success. Special thanks go to the Organizing Committee of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics as well as to the International Olympic Committee, which are making every effort to make superbly organized Games. Our friends from the Japanese Embassy are at the disposal to the BH Team, and we thank them on this occasion," said President Kvesic.

At the "Tokyo 2020" Olympics, Bosnia and Herzegovina will be represented by Amel Tuka (Athletics), Larisa Cerić (Judo), Mesud Pezer (Athletics) and Lana Pudar (Swimming), and the qualification of several more BH athletes is expected by the end of the qualification deadlines.
