Judo Federation of BiH hosts "European Judo Open Sarajevo 2021"

The Judo Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the proud host of the Europe Judo Open Sarajevo 2021, which opened today in the sports arena of the Hills Hotel in Ilidža. This international sports event was officially opened by the Sports Director of the European Judo Union Blach Wiecislav, and the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Sarajevo Canton, Mr. Samir Avdić as well as the president of the Judo Federation of BiH, prof. Dr. Branislav Crnogorac. On behalf of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Vice President of the OK BiH, prof. Dr. Milanko Muchibabic.

Judo seniors from 29 countries will compete for the brightest medals in Olympic sports, and Bosnia and Herzegovina will have 12 representatives. A total of 305 competitors were registered, of which 196 men and 109 women. The competition itself will last for two days, on September 18 and 19, and it will be held with the application of all epidemiological measures.

We remind you that the Judo Federation of BiH hosted the European Judo Cup in June, and for the next year, the International and European Judo Union entrusted our Federation with hosting the World Championship for cadets and the European Championship for seniors under 23.
