Larisa Cerić among the top 7 at the Grand Slam in Tel Aviv

Last weekend, the Grand Slam was held in Israel as one of the most highly-rated competitions in the world, with 398 competitors from 52 countries taking part.

Larisa took seventh place with victories over the representatives of Lithuania and Italy, Jablonskyte Sandra and Tavano Asye, while in the third round, she suffered an injury against the host Israeli Hershko Raz, luxating a finger on her hand and preventing her from continuing her quest for a medal. However, with the 260 new points she won in this competition, she is already among the athletes who are in the Olympic norm.

In addition to Olympian Larisa Cerić, Aleksandra Samardžić, Anđela Samardžić, and Toni Miletić also performed at the Grand Slam. In addition to Larisa Cerić, who is currently in the norm for the OI Paris 2024, Aleksandra Samardžić is also in the continental quota and must keep it in the coming period.

We wish our judokas good luck in the upcoming competition period!
