Larisa Cerić press conference on the occasion of silver medal

Our best athlete and celebrated judoka Larisa Cerić thanked for the support provided by NOC BiH, as well as the media that closely follow her work and successes, and expressed hope that she will return from the next Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games with the first Olympic medal for our country.

A press conference was held in the premises of the Olympic Committee of BiH, at which the winner of the silver medal from the European Games Minsk 2019 - Larisa Cerić addressed the gathered media.

Our best athlete and celebrated judoka Larisa Cerić thanked for the support provided by NOC BiH, as well as the media that closely follow her work and successes, and expressed hope that she will return from the next Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games with the first Olympic medal for our country.

In addition to Larisa, her coach and selector of the Judo national team of BiH, prof. Dr. Branislav Crnogorac,also mentioned that Larisa actually won two medals in Minsk - one for the European Games Minsk 2019, and the other within the European Championship for seniors.

On behalf of NOC BiH, the Secretary General, mr. sci Said Fazlagić once again congratulated Larisa and her team on the great success and the first medal from the European Games for BiH. Mr. Fazlagić emphasized that Larisa lost the final fight only in the referee's time in order to receive three yellow cards.

Finally, the support provided by the BiH Olympic Committee to top athletes is highlighted through the fact that 15 potential BiH Olympians receive Olympic scholarships, while three of our best athletes (Larisa Cerić, Amel Tuka and Mesud Pezer) currently receive additional financial support for better preparations for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
