Larisa Cerić won a silver medal at the European Games Minsk 2019

Double silver for Larisa at European Games and European Judo Chaampionship Minsk 2019!

At the judo tournament of the European Games Minsk 2019, which is also treated as the European Senior Championship, our best judoka Larisa Cerić defeated rivals from Serbia, Ukraine and Portugal in the over 78 kg category, and faced local representative Maryna Slutskaya in the final fight.

After a dramatic match, which lasted 8 minutes, Lara lost only after she received three penalty points by the referees. In that way, she added a silver medal from the European Games and the European Championship Minsk 2019 to her rich collection of medals.

Today also competed judoka Harun Sadiković (+100 kg), who was defeated in the first match by the Belarusian Uladzislau Tsiarpitski.

Shooter Nedzad Dzankovic took 39th place in the 10-meter air rifle discipline.

Boxers Alen Rahimić (-56 kg) and Adem Fetahović (-69 kg) also finished their competition at the Minsk 2019 European Games. Rahimić lost to domestic boxer Nikalai Shakha, while Sotomayor from Azerbaijan was better than Fetahović in the 1/8 finals. 

NOC BiH uses the opportunity to congratulate Larisa Cerić, her coach prof. Dr. Branislav Crnogorac and the Judo Federation of BiH on the won medal.
