Legendary handball player Zlatko Saračević passed away

With immeasurable sadness and deep respect, we say goodbye to the legendary Banja Luka handball player Zlatko Saračević.

Saračević was born in Banja Luka on July 5, 1961, and from 1977 to 1987 he wore the Borac jersey with which he won the Yugoslavia Championship in 1981 and the Cup in 1979. He was one of the best right-backs in the history of handball, and with the Yugoslavia national team he won the 1986 World Cup and the 1988 Seoul Olympics. In the Yugoslavia jersey, he scored 200 goals in 145 games.

In his career, he played for many European clubs, and ended his career in 2003 in Rijeka's Zamet.
