Lejla Njemčević won silver medal at the World Cup in Turkey!

Our country's best cyclist won the second place at the World Cup in the marathon discipline (Turkey), and as she stated that this was the most difficult race in her career.

"I felt great and at the beginning of the race and I took the lead which steadily increased until 30 kilometers before the end when the temperature reached 45 degrees. With all the supplementation required for such conditions, I could not avoid cramps in both legs. The first place was deservedly won by the world's first female cyclist, Katazina Sosna, who overtook me in the last 10 kilometers of the race," Lejla announced on her Facebook profile.

Njemčević is ranked second in the world rankings in the marathon discipline, and the next competition that is an opportunity to win the first place on the UCI list is the World Championships in Denmark, which is scheduled for September 18.

Lejla, congratulations and good luck! We also send our congratulations to the coach, the club, as well as the Cycling Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
