The second Mediterranean Sand Games were officially opened with a solemn ceremony. The ceremony was held in "Artemis", August 25, 2019. starting at 20:30 local time.

Nermin Palić, who defends the colors of our country in aquathlon, had the honor to carry the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition to Nermin, Mladen Stevanović will also compete in aquathlon, and in swimming with fins and Marko Đurić will represent BiH in two disciplines - 2000m outdoors and 200m in the pool. According to the schedule, Marko Đurić will perform on Tuesday, August 27. in the discipline 200m in the pool, while the day after, on Wednesday 28.08. he will perform in the 2000m outdoor discipline. Nermin Palić and Mladen Stevanović will perform on Saturday, August 31, 2019. Our team is accompanied by coaches Marko Đurić (swimming with fins) and Igor Mandušić (aquathlon) as well as the head of the OC BiH mission, Samra Jurišić.

The very goal of this event is to emphasize the unity, solidarity and friendship between the countries of the Mediterranean Sea.
