NOC BIH awarded athletes for "Top sports result in 2020"
Today, in the Olympic Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the organization of the Olympic Committee of BiH, a manifestation of awarding for "Top sports result in 2020" was held.
Marijan Kvesić, President of the Olympic Committee of BiH, congratulated all the winners of the awards who, as he said, despite all the challenges and obstacles caused by the pandemic, achieved exceptional sports results.
- These awards are recognitions for dedication, work and commitment, despite the unusual conditions caused by the pandemic due to which numerous European and world competitions were postponed, including the traditional manifestation of the BiH Olympic Committee - the selection of the athlete of the year. In the past year, the challenge was to go to the competition, and even greater to achieve a top result, and that is why you, dear athletes, make proud this country and our large sports family that nurtures Olympic values, said Kvesic, adding that he hopes that next year's competition will take place in normal conditions and that the selection of the athlete of the year will be held.
Kvesić emphasized that the Olympic Committee of BiH will continue to support consistent, bold and persistent people who achieve top sports results, and he especially congratulated the young athletes who are from BiH. the public was positively surprised by the brilliant results.
- We will continue, in accordance with our capacities, to support new hopes and create new positive sports stories, even though we live in difficult moments in which COVID 19 has transformed the way of life and the entire society in the world. These are times of great uncertainty in the sphere of health, economy, social relations and, of course, in the sphere of sports. These are times of drastic changes in the way of life, but these are our times, the ones we live in and it is our responsibility and obligation to stay together, think together and work together for a better future of BiH and sports. Dear athletes, I congratulate you on the upcoming holidays and I want the new year to bring you new opportunities and sports victories, said the President of the Olympic Committee of BiH in the end.
