In the premises of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the BH Olympic team was presented who will from 04-20. February this year perform at the Winter Olympics in the Chinese capital - Beijing.

Our Olympic team of 6 athletes consists of : Elvedina Muzaferija, Emir Lokmić, Esma Alić (alpine skiing), Sanja Kusmuk, and Strahinja Erić (cross-country skiing) and sledger Mirza Nikolajev. They will be joined by 5 coaches in the fight to win the top result for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the presentation of our best athletes, the President of the BiH Olympic Committee, Marijan Kvesić, addressed the audience, saying: “In these specific and difficult times, the BiH Olympic Committee made an additional effort, and through numerous projects and initiatives provided approximately 380,000 KM to support top BiH. athletes for their preparations and performances. Thus, the Olympic Committee of BiH helped the athletes in their intention to achieve the Olympic norms, and contributed to the strengthening of the sports system of BiH. We wish our Olympians a lot of luck and success at the Games. "

The farewell ceremony of the Olympic team was also attended by Ambassador N.R. China HE Yi Ping, who in his address reminded of the friendly relations between our two countries, the connection of N.R. China and BiH, and pointed out that BiH had a special role in the history of the Olympic Games. Despite the ungrateful situation that the pandemic brings with it, bh. a sports team in faraway China will feel the hospitality, love and respect of the citizens of Beijing, along with the excellently organized Games.

All our Olympians, who promised to give their best and achieve the best results, expressed their hopes and expectations.

Mirza Nikolajev said: "I have fulfilled my personal goal, I am at the Olympic Games for the first time, and Bosnia and Herzegovina will have a representative in sledding for the first time since 1998."

Senad Omanović addressed the audience on behalf of all coaches. "I thank the athletes for the results and the achieved Olympic norm, fellow coaches for their hard work with athletes, and special thanks go to the BiH Olympic Committee, without whose support we would not be here today," said OmanoviĆ.
