OK BiH supported potential participants of YOG Gangwon 2024

The Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, through the Olympic Solidarity Program for the Development of Young Athletes, managed to provide funds for going to qualifying competitions and training camps for the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) "Gangwon 2024".

On this occasion, the president of OK BiH Dr. Izet Rađo, together with the President of the BiH Ski Association, Samir Smajić, signed a contract defining rights and mutual obligations.

The signing of the contract was attended by the vice-president of OK BiH Marijan Kvesić and prof. Dr. Milanko Mučibabić, and general secretaries of the BiH Ski Association Sanja Kusmuk and Saša Kurto.

Beneficiaries of the USD 25,000 grant are young Bosnian athletes, evident and potential participants of YOG Gangwon:

Alpine skiing
    1. Ina Likić
    2. Amber Niksic
    3. Noah Miljkovic
    4. Izet Lut Osmanagić

Cross-country skiing
    1. Teodora Delipar
    2. Iva Macar
    3. Srdjan Lalović

Biathlon
    1. Boris Stanojević
    2. Aleksandar Klačar

The grant is intended for the participation of potential competitors in the qualifying competitions for the Youth Olympic Games in Gangwon in 2024, and for the final preparations and training camps of athletes who have already qualified for the Games.

The fourth YOG Gangwon Youth Olympic Games will be held in the South Korean province of the same name from January 19 to February 1, 2024. The program of the Games includes 7 sports, 15 disciplines, and approximately 1,900 athletes will participate. It is expected that BiH the team in this competition consists of 6 athletes from 3 sports: alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and biathlon.

President of the OK BiH Dr. Izet Rađo and vice-presidents of OK BiH Marijan Kvesić and prof. Dr. Milanko Mučibabić wished Ina, Amber, Noah, Izeta, Teodora, Iva, Srđan, Boris and Aleksandar good luck and success in the competitions and training camps that await them in the qualification cycle for YOG Gangwon.
