OLYMPIC VENUES | ZHANGJIAKOU ZONE

Zhangjiakou zone

Zhangjiakou is a popular Chinese ski resort, located approximately 180km northwest of Beijing. The newly built intercity railway will transport participants between all three Winter Olympics venues in just one hour. Zhangjiakou will host most of the 2022 Ski and Snowboarding events of the 2022 Winter Olympics, including freestyle, cross-country, ski jumping, Nordic combined, and biathlon.

National Biathlon Centre

Event / competition: Biathlon

The National Biathlon Center, located in Zhangjiakou in the northern Chinese province of Hebei, will host a biathlon competition. After the Games, the Center will be used to train the Chinese national team and as a tourist resort.

National Ski Jumping Centre

Event / competition: Ski jumping, Nordic combined (ski jumping)

The National Ski Jumping Center will host the Nordic Combined Ski Jumping Competition and the Nordic Combined Ski Jumping Discipline at the 2022 Beijing Olympics. After the Games, Snow Ruyi will be used to train the Chinese national team and as a tourist area.

 National Cross-Country Centre

Event / competition: Cross-country, Nordic combined

The new National Cross-Country Center will host a cross-country and Nordic combination at the Winter Olympics. After the Games, the space will be converted into a park and an outdoor ice rink that will be used for sports and other events.

Genting Snow Park

Event / competition: freestyle skiing, snowboarding

Genting Snow Park is an exciting ski resort and will host freestyle skiing and snowboarding disciplines (except Big Air) during the Beijing 2022 Olympics. The park will have two separate venues - Park A, freestyle skiing, and Park B, snowboarding. - each will have the capacity to receive about 7,500 observers. The park will host a total of 6 disciplines: half-pipe, slopestyle, ski/snowboard cross, parallel giant slalom, ski jumping (mogul), and acrobatic jumping (aerial).
