Representatives of FINA and LEN visited OK BiH

As part of the official visit to the Swimming Federation of BiH, representatives of the World (FINA) and European (LEN) Swimming Association, with the management of the Swimming Federation of BiH and the Deputy Mayor of Sarajevo visited the BiH Olympic Committee, hosted by the Secretary General.

This historic visit of the leaders of FINA and LEN to the Swimming Federation of BiH and the Olympic Committee of BiH is extremely important for the future development of swimming in our country, which thanks to Lana Pudar experienced great expansion last year. Certainly, one of the topics was the development of our young and promising swimmers and Olympic candidates, but also the development of swimming infrastructure and facilities that do not adequately follow the development of this Olympic sport in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The BiH Olympic Committee hosted this meeting in the interest of better cooperation with BiH sports federations and international sports associations in order to best present the BiH sports system at the international level, all with the aim of more productive talks aimed at providing benefits for our swimmers and the Swimming Federation of BiH.

The high delegation of FINA and LEN consisted of: Husain Al Mussalam-President of FINA, Antonio da Silva-President of LEN and Vice-President of FINA, Josip Varvodić-First Vice-President of LEN and member of the FINA Bureau, Anthony Ervin-Olympic Champion from the USA and Tomy Tarraf-President of the Department of Athlete Development and Special Projects of the Asian Olympic Council.

The host of the meeting in front of OK BiH was Dr. Said Fazlagić, Secretary General of OK BiH together with Edhem Pašukan-Vice President of the Swimming Federation of BiH, Jusuf Borić-President of the Assembly of the Swimming Federation of BiH, Damir Đedović-Member of the Board of the Swimming Federation of BiH and Azur Kuduzović-General Swimming Federation of BiH.

In front of the City of Sarajevo, Anja Margetić - Deputy Mayor of the City of Sarajevo and former Olympian of Bosnia and Herzegovina in swimming was present.
