Results of the BH team and the announcement of the closing ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Games
At the XXXII Olympic Games, which were officially opened on July 23 at the Olympic Stadium in Tokyo, Bosnia and Herzegovina had seven representatives in five sports: athletics, judo, taekwondo, swimming and archery.
Review of the results of our Olympic team Tokyo 2020 Olympics:
Nedzad Husic taekwondo, -68kg | 5th place
Amel Tuka athletics, 800m | 6th place
Mesud Pezer athletics, Shot put | 11th place
Larisa Ceric judo, + 78kg | 9th place
Lana Pudar swimming, 100m dolphin | 19th place
Emir Muratovic swimming, 100m and 50m freestyle | 45th and 42nd place
Tatjana Đekanović shooting range, air rifle 10m | 47th place
The best result for Bosnia and Herzegovina was achieved by nineteen-year-old taekwondo player Nedzad Husic, who won the 5th place, surpassing the best placement of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Olympic Games so far, which was held by Nedzad Fazlija in archery for 21 years. Fazlija took 6th place in the 10m air rifle at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
We are proud of the performances and results of our athletes and we extend our sincere congratulations to all participants in the Games, their coaches and sports federations of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Tomorrow, 08.08. starting at 1pm our time, the XXXII Tokyo 2020 Olympics will be officially closed.
At the Olympic Stadium in Tokyo, the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be carried by our best athlete Amel Tuka.
