Sad news: NOC Presidency member Mr. Siniša Kisić passed away

We announce with deep pain and sadness that our dear colleague and friend, member of the Presidency of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Siniša Kisić, passed away after a short and severe illness. Siniša Kisić was a prominent sport worker and a top athlete for many years, whose inherent strength and energy gave an immeasurable contribution to the development and unification of the sport system of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We announce with deep pain and sadness that our dear colleague and friend, member of the Presidency of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Siniša Kisić, passed away after a short and severe illness. Siniša Kisić was a prominent sport worker and a top athlete for many years, whose inherent strength and energy gave an immeasurable contribution to the development and unification of the sport system of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

With his work and commitment, he greatly helped the Olympic movement to become and remain in its essence - unique, common and in service of sport and athletes. During his working career, he held several important positions; since 2007 he was a member of the Presidency of the Olympic Committee of BiH, President of the Volleyball Federation of BiH, the first mayor of Brčko District and a member of the Council of Ministers of BiH.

Kisić was also a member of the volleyball national team of the former Yugoslavia and a medal winner at the Mediterranean Games in Algeria in 1975. The book of condolences will be available to all in the premises of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Alipašina bb - Sarajevo.
