Second group of qualified and potential athletes, in the "Tokyo 2020" Olympics vaccinated

Today, at the University Clinical Hospital in Mostar, another group of athletes, qualified and potential participants in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, and members of the OK BiH delegation were vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine against COVID-19.

The Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, provided immunization to athletes and members of the delegation - potential and qualified participants in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Vaccination is divided into several groups, in accordance with the schedule of qualifying competitions and preparations of our athletes.

This morning, the President of OK BiH, Marijan Kvesić, welcomed the second group of athletes and the delegation of OK BiH at the University Clinical Hospital in Mostar, and once again thanked the relevant Ministry for providing conditions for immunization of the BH team, as well as the staff for the overall cooperation of the University Clinical Hospital in Mostar.

The Organising Committee of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and the International Olympic Committee have informed all NOCs that vaccination is voluntary and not a condition for participation in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, but in this way the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina wants to enable the BiH team to leave safely and stay at the Games, which is part of the preparatory activities of the OK BiH for participation in the largest international multi-sport competition.
