Symposium on Opportunities for Social Integration through Sports

Symposium participants, coaches, parasportists and students had the opportunity to listen to interesting lectures on the topics of classification in Paralympic sports, the relationship between coaches and athletes, health in parasport, teamwork, leadership and finally judo as parasport.

Within the project "Social integration through parasport - Parainspired!" IPA II Cross-border Cooperation Program Serbia - Bosnia and Herzegovina 2014-2020, the Symposium "Opportunities for social integration through sports" was successfully held.

Symposium participants, coaches, parasportists and students had the opportunity to listen to interesting lectures on the topics of classification in Paralympic sports, the relationship between coaches and athletes, health in parasport, teamwork, leadership and finally judo as parasport. At the Symposium, the participants were addressed on behalf of the Olympic Committee of BiH by the Secretary General, M.Sc. Said Fazlagić, who emphasized the work of the BiH Olympic Committee on EU projects, and especially emphasized the importance of the research on the state of participation of persons with disabilities in sports, procurement of specific equipment for parasports and building good cross-border relations.

The symposium was officially opened by the President of the Paralympic Committee of BiH, Mr. Sabahudin Delalić, who actively participated in the discussions during the presentations of the lecturers and first-hand presented to the audience which obstacles a parasportist goes through every day, and that the love of sports is the strongest motivation for people with physical disabilities in the current unfavorable environment.
