The BIH Olympic Committee, through the IOC Olympic Solidarity project, has provided a "Team Support Grant" for the BIH Women's Basketball Team, which will be used for the next 4 years.

Leaders of the Olympic Committee of BiH, President Marijan Kvesić, Vice President Prof. Dr. Izet Radjo and Secretary General Dr. sci. Said Fazlagić, hosted a delegation of the Basketball Federation of BiH, President Mirza Teletović, member of the Supervisory Board of BiH Basketball NF and member of the NOC BIH' EC mr.sci.dr Nihad Selimović, Secretary General Amer Čolan, -Team manager of the Women's National Team of BiH Razija Mujanović and the captain of the Women's National Team of BiH, Milica Deura.

The reason for the admission is the "Team Support Grant 2021-2024" for the Women's Senior National Basketball Team of BiH, which was provided by the Olympic Committee of BiH through the Olympic Solidarity of the IOC. The estimated duration of the Grant is 4 years with a total amount of $ 100,000.00, and the funds will be operational as $ 25,000 per year.

Funds and support from this Grant to the Women's Senior Basketball National Team of BiH will to some extent solve the basic financial problems related to preparations and participation in the most prestigious European competitions and training camps, with the aim to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

"The women's basketball team of BiH deserved this kind of support with its hard work and excellent performances and qualification for the European Championship, which will be held in Spain and France this year." We can freely say that NOC BIH continuously supports basketball in BiH. As a reminder, NOC BiH supported the Men's Senior Basketball Team of BiH (2009-2012 and 2013-2016) through the same Grant. He also supported the cadet basketball team of BiH through the Continental Grant in 2015 and 2017, which repaid us by winning the first gold team medal from EYOF Tbilisi 2015 "and the title of European Champion", said the president of NOC BiH Marijan Kvesić.
