The 3rd European Games Krakow Malopolska 2023 are closed!

Last night, the third consecutive European Games Krakow Malopolska 2023 closed in the Polish city of Krakow.

The closing ceremony showcased the rich cultural heritage of Kraków and the Malopolska region and was dominated by a music program tailored to athletes.

Before the final address of the President of the European Olympic Committees, Spyros Capralos, the marshal of the Lesser Poland Region, Witold Kozłowski, and the mayor of Krakow, Jacek Majchrowski, addressed the audience on behalf of the hosts of the multisport event.

President Capralos emphasized the great organizational challenge because it had never happened before that so many cities participated in the organization and implementation of the Games. After congratulating the organizers, athletes, volunteers, and everyone involved in the implementation of the III European Games, the EOC President officially declared the Games closed.

At the end of the Closing Ceremony, after the joint celebration of athletes, officials, and volunteers in the center of the Henryk Reyman Stadium, magnificent fireworks ended the biggest European multi-sport competition.

The European Games Krakow Malopolska 2023 gathered over 7000 athletes during 11 competition days, and the most successful delegation was Italy with 35 gold medals.

Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented by 55 athletes accompanied by 22 coaches and officials, including the athletics team. The best result was achieved by Olympian Nedžad Husić, winning a silver medal in the taekwondo category up to 74 kilograms.
