Tonight at the Karteros Beach Sports Center, the opening ceremony of the third consecutive Mediterranean Beach Games Heraklion 2023, which will be held from September 9 to 16, was held.

The flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina was carried by Isidora Borovčanin and Miralem Jašarspahić at the ceremonial parade of 26 participating countries.

Bosnia and Herzegovina will be represented by four athletes who perform in karate - kata individually: Isidora Borovčanin, Ilda Muzurović, Tarik Salkić and Miralem Jašarspahić, and the team will be accompanied by coach Mujo Gec.

Our athletes have already done their first training sessions before tomorrow's performance of the women's selection, which will take the field at 9 a.m. local time. The men's selection will perform the day after, on September 11, at the same time.

The Mediterranean Beach Games are being held for the third time with the participation of 26 countries from three continents. There are a total of 13 sports on the sports program, with 55 medal awarding ceremonies during 8 competition days.
