The Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina presented the BH

The Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina will participate with 48 athletes in 11 sports at the Mediterranean Games Oran 2022, which will be held in the city of Oran in Algeria from 25.06. to 06.07.2022. years. In addition to athletes, the BH team will consist of 15 coaches and 3 judges.

The press conference of MI Oran 2022 was attended by the Presidency of the OC BiH, the President of the OK BiH, prof.dr. Milanko Mučibabić, vice presidents prof.dr. Izet Rađo and Mr. Marijan Kvesić, and the press conference were opened by the President of OK BiH, who greeted the present athletes, coaches, judges, and media representatives.

In his address, the President said: "Today is the day of sports in the Olympic Committee of BiH, and today we proudly send off our national team members, from whom we expect them to behave in the spirit of Olympism and to represent their country with dignity."

The President also informed those present about the organization of the departure and participation in MI Oran 2022, and pointed out the commitment and exceptional efforts of the BiH Olympic Committee to ensure the participation of the BH delegation of 71 people in these very demanding times. It should be emphasized that all Mediterranean selections from the region are supported by state leaders and provided with all conditions, including charter flights, while our Mediterranean delegation did not have the support or funds for the same, but we still provided the most direct regular transport. , equipment and everything you need for our Mediterranean selection to have maximum comfort and top conditions for competitions.

In the coming period, we expect the state and entity levels of government to wholeheartedly support the BiH Olympic Committee and all its selections, as all countries in the region and Europe selflessly do.

"Spread positive sports, human and Olympic values, and be an example of togetherness, because together we can go faster, more, stronger," said the President of the OK BiH.

Finally, the President thanked all the sponsors of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina for their continued support in preserving BH sports.

At the Mediterranean Games Oran 2022, the most trophy judoka Larisa Cerić and boxer Džemal Bošnjak, the winner of the bronze medal from the Mediterranean Games Mersin 2013, will have the privilege of carrying the flag at the Opening Ceremony.

In the continuation of the press conference, one athlete in front of each sport addressed the audience. The athletes especially thanked the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which enabled them to participate and go to the Mediterranean Games Oran 2022, with sincere wishes to be accompanied by sports luck on the tatami, athletics track, in the ring and other arenas in order to win one of the medals. Special attention was paid to the media, with the request of athletes to continue to monitor their results and to spread positive energy throughout the country. Athletes emphasized that OK BiH does everything in its power to help them prepare and go to competitions, and invited the competent ministries to join, because the entire BH team goes to the Mediterranean Games Oran 2022 without any financial resources from state institutions.

The representative of the coach Haris Husić and the representative of the judges Dane Pepić also addressed the audience, emphasizing the great honor of representing their country and supporting athletes in fair-play competitions.
