The World Rafting Championship R4 - BiH 2022 is over | Banja Luka and Foča
This year's World Rafting Championship ended on Wednesday 01.06. in Foča, and the competition was hosted by two bh. cities - Banja Luka and Foča. The races on the Vrbas were held in the disciplines of sprint, H2H and slalom, and yesterday a competition was held in the discipline of downhill on the river Tara, Foča.
The closing ceremony was attended by the President of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Prof. Dr. Milanko Mučibabić, who on this occasion presented medals and gifts to the finalists. In addition to the President of the OK BiH, the event was also attended by the member of the IC OC BiH Nada Kujundžić. The event was also enlarged by high-ranking officials: Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations in the Council of Ministers Staša Košarac, who closed the World Rafting Championship R4 - Bosnia and Herzegovina 2022, and Mayor of Foča Milan Vukadinović
On this occasion, the President of OC BiH prof. Dr. Milanko Mučibabić together with Nada Kujundžić (member of the IC OC BiH) took the opportunity to talk with the director of the World Rafting Championship and president of the rafting club Canyon Pastir Aleksandar, about the importance of sports activities of this type given the specific use of natural resources and potential in this domain. Also, an important segment of every competition is volunteerism, which is given great importance and importance in the realization of sports events in the Olympic movement. The President of OK BiH talked about this topic with Valentina Vuković, a member of the volunteer team of the World Rafting Championship.
Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina won four world rafting medals, in all four disciplines, and won second place in the world in the overall ranking of the IRF World Rafting Championships 2022.
