"Women4Sport" KICK OFF Meeting was held

In the period from February 21 to February 23, 2024. in the premises of the BiH Olympic Committee, a "KICK OFF" meeting was held as part of the Erasmus+ project "Raising the capacity of women in managing processes and making decisions in sports in the countries of the Western Balkans" (Women4Sport), financed by the European Union.

The "Women4Sport" Erasmus+ project is of exceptional importance considering that it encourages and promotes the equality of women in the spheres of the highest management and leadership positions of the Olympic Committees in the countries of the Western Balkans.

The coordinator of this two-year project is the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina with project partners: Institute Verlab, Olympic Committee of Albania, Olympic Committee of Montenegro, Croatian Olympic Committee, Olympic Committee of Slovenia, NGO "BRAVO" BiH. The meeting officially started the path of changes that are important, priority determinants of both the European Union and the leadership that encourages women's rights in sports.

The project partners presented their work packages, and the next steps of the project implementation, which will last for the next 24 months. The importance of the project was presented through an interactive workshop in which seven project partners participated.

The Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a credible partner of the European Union, which understands the priorities, and will make a special effort to put the implementation of this project in focus and help others in its further development.
