The flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina was carried by the judoka Branko Tadić.

The XV Summer European Youth Olympic Festival was officially opened tonight in the Azerbaijani capital Baku. The ceremony is being held at the Crystal Hall in Baku, which is a multi-purpose sports and concert arena with a capacity of 25,000 spectators.

The opening ceremony was organized in accordance with the guidelines of the EYOF Charter protocol with the intonation of the national anthem, raising of the national flag, parade of athletes, official speeches, raising of the Olympic flag, Olympic anthem, lighting of the flame and taking the oath ceremony with a cultural program.

At EYOF Baku 2019, 17 young BiH athletes will compete in 5 sports: athletics, cycling, judo, tennis and swimming.
